Ravenwood Entry Training - WIP!
Alright guys, I'm currently working on a training regime that EVERYONE will have to go through before they can officially be rostered and take part in Ravenwood shenanigans. I'll be in discussion with Johnson and Peeps about this, and will likely have something quite soon(ish) to be trialed on a test group of you lovelies. What I'm thinking of including so far is:
* A freely available handout containing an overview of basic RW SOP with descriptions and diagrams
* Target Indications
* Types of Section/Squad and Fireteam movements
* Personal Drills / Reaction to Effective Enemy Fire (PDs and REEF)
* Mock Fireteam level position attack
* Optional Nav/Radio and patrolling
Ideas/thoughts/criticisms?
Oh, and before anyone asks, I WILL NOT be doing a rifle shooting, or any kind of shooting qualifications, however I cannot speak to others.

I would like to see something like this. Training never hurts, and is pretty fun in an of itself.

I approve. However, I think rifle qualifications were a pretty cool thing we did. If you're not willing to do it, I can. (If you're alright with that)

Who cares if you approve Ed, Johnson asked me to do this to get you bastards up to a standard close to what I usually play with. Oh an the rifle quals are unnecessary, waste time and actually turns people off from joining. With the drills I will teach in the training programme you don't need to be able to aim for shit.

Re: Ravenwood Entry Training - WIP!
I would like some training with marksmanship with AT weapons. ACE changed the shit out of the AT weapon ballistics and my AT skills are worth balls now.
I'm easily able to get 1000+ Meter tank kills with a MAAWS in vanilla (Not exaggeration). Fucking ACE I hate that mod.
Oh and Slaaneshi quit being a dick lol.

Re: Ravenwood Entry Training - WIP!
"Part 1 Training" content (Final?)
1) Target Indications:
GRIT(T) - Group, Range, Indication, Target, (Type).
Eg. Section, 100m, Left of Axis, Man, (Rifleman)
Types of Indications:
Sightings - When an enemy/person is observed, but has yet to engage us
Contacts - When an enemy has engaged us
2) Personal Drills:
REEF - Reaction to Effective Enemy Fire.
If engaged, fire 2-3 round burst at direction of enemy, then sprint forwards, zig-zaging until behind concealment or cover/15-20m away from starting location, go prone and begin searching for the enemy which engaged you.
Rates of Fire:
Rapid - 1 round every 1 second.
Deliberate - 1 round every 6 seconds.
Watch and shoot - Fire only on seen enemy
Automatic - As fast as you can fire, used in CQB/repelling enemy within 25m.
3) Section/Fireteam Drills:
File - One man behind the other.
Line - One man to the left or right of the other.
Arrowhead - Single man in front, rest to the rear diagonal of him.
Staggered Line - Each man on the opposite side of the road/track.
Bounding:
Section/Fireteam splits in equal halves, one half sprints forwards 25m while the other provides rapid fire, then the supporting half bounds to or past initial half which is now supporting.
Spacings:
General: 10m between each man
Open plains/desert: 25m between each man
Forest/Jungle/Night: 5m between each man
4) Section/Fireteam Attack
Using available cover to move in onto the side of a position, while others provide suppressive fire onto the position. Then once in range the supporting group ceases fire and the assaulting group throw grenades and charge into the position.
